Dr. Seuss's birthday is March 2nd. He is an author whose work is pretty universally loved by all children and whose work has inspired and motivated many children as they learn to read. 2. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish - the Dr. Seuss book I remember the most from my childhood
1. Green Eggs and Ham (moved into #1 spot largely because of the movie "I Am Sam," which I absolutely love)
